WHO AM I

Hi! I am Emily Gill, the photographer behind the camera. Based in Charleston, SC, I get to call this place my home - a city filled with beauty around every corner. I am excited that you have found me + want to learn more about who I am. First and foremost, I am Christian. I believe that God, the Creator of all things, sent His son, Jesus, to save us from our sins. There is freedom in Christ + how beautiful that is. 

I graduated from Anderson University in 2018 where I studied piano performance pedagogy + minored in marketing. I started photographing my life while my family lived in Germany and still to this day, take my camera with me to the majority of places I go. The things I photograph the most are my family, friends, + the places I travel. It was during my time in college that I started shooting weddings. People are my favorite subject to shoot because of the joy + life they bring to photos. I am passionate about people having the best experience while in front of my camera. Photography is my side job, something I get to do because I love it! A desire I have in photography is to further God’s Kingdom through my work. I am a creator that has been gifted the ability of photography from the Creator. Finally, I find this space to be too small to define a person but I hope that it gives you a sense of who I am.  I would love to hear about you + what you love.
